Since their wedding day on July 18, 2003, this husband/wife dynamic duo has been making live music before audiences from coast to coast and around the world. They’ve performed at venues from county fairs, to cruise ships, to corporate extravaganzas, to Carnegie Hall. Crowds and critics rave about Michael and Amy’s dynamic music and charismatic stage presence. Together, they bring eclectic and electric energy to the stage distinctly their own. Creating Opportunities from obstacles
In March 2020, the COVID-19 coronavirus brought life in America to a standstill. Artists and Educators, Michael and Amy Pickering, were inspired to begin offering free music lessons to their community as a way of doing what they could to bring a little normalcy and hope to a rapidly-changing environment. With shelter-in-place orders from the state, they quickly shifted from given in-person lessons to all lessons online. Being committed to the idea that life's challenges should not prohibit access to the activities we all love and the education we all want, the Pickerings instituted a "Pay What You Can" option along with hourly and discounted monthly tuition rates. Pickering Arts & Entertainment Performing Arts School is based in SE Aurora, CO serving a local , regional, and national student base.

Michael Pickering, President and Chief Creative Officer of Lionsong Entertainment, Inc., former Director and founder of the Music and Entertainment Entrepreneurship program at the Community College of Aurora, and Founder/Instructor of Pickering Performing Arts and Entertainment Academy, LLC is a creative leader, entrepreneur, educator, and musician. He holds a Master of Arts in Music Business Degree and a B.P.S. in Interdisciplinary Music Studies Degree from the Berklee College of Music, a Post-secondary professional certification in Performing Arts, and national certification in Effective Teaching Practices from ACUE (Association of College and University Educators). He has served on the boards of local arts and entertainment organizations, authored post-secondary music curricula, and spoken at many local and national music industry events. He also provides music and entertainment business and performance consulting services. Amy Pickering, Vice President of Lionsong Entertainment, Inc., and Theatre Director at Englewood Middle and High Schools is a performing artist, entrepreneur, educator, and musician. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre Degree from the University of Northern Colorado and is a Colorado State certified K-12 Theatre Teacher. She has served as a private Instructor with local arts and entertainment organizations and has been a featured performer at numerous local, national and international events. Further, Amy is a certified Beachbody Master Trainer, Personal Trainer, and Group Fitness Instructor.
